M I S S I O N

In conjunction with National Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), Mercer SJP aims to facilitate and grow a connected, organized, and educated student movement advocating for justice and liberation for the Palestinian people.

V I S I O N

A world where every individual, regardless of their background, enjoys unfettered freedom, equality, and dignity; an organization committed to empowering and uplifting marginalized communities, eradicating oppression, and fostering a global society where justice and compassion prevail.

Anti-Racism Statement

Mercer Students for Justice in Palestine (MSJP) stands firmly against racism in all its forms. MSJP believes in the inherent dignity and worth of every individual, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or background and are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone is treated with respect, fairness, and equality.

MSJP is actively working to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects during its development while encouraging open dialogue, tolerance, understanding, and empathy.

Together, we strive to build a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, free from the shackles of discrimination.

WHY MSJP?

“I cannot sit by and watch a genocide occur. Everyone who knows about the horrors happening to Palestine should feel the same way.”

“I keep seeing articles and videos about how the people in Palestine are suffering, and this is an opportunity for me to help them.”

“I would like to join SJP because I want to help spread awareness of what is truly happening in Palestine. Due to what is happening, I’ve learned how the US has been complicit in multiple genocides across the world. By being able to join MSJP, I am able to talk to others and dissect the nature of what is happening and how it is not a new historical event, but instead has constantly occurred throughout history by the hands of oppressors.”

“Because I am originally from Middle East, and I support Palestine.
Free Palestine!”
